Yes, eventually if “Nespresso” brand has a copyright or trademark on their name (which I’m sure they do), eventually all those sellers will get their listings taken down or temporarily removed or suspended. The only 2 places I would recommend using your competitors brand name is: 1.) In all your PPC campaigns (especially phrase and exact match campaigns), and 2.) Adding it 1-2x in back end of your listing in search terms/ generic keywords is ok. Anywhere in your listing title, bullet points, description, or photos is just a bit too risky.

Hi there, for both “Manufacturer” name and Brand name you will enter your own private label brand. You will want to come up with an available brand name, (check that there are no other trademarks on the name), get logo done, send logo to supplier, have them make 1 custom sample with your logo printed on it and then submit pictures of that sample to Amazon and they will grant you brand approval. Once you get brand approval from Amazon, then you’ll be able to enter your own brand in the brand name and manufacturer name.

Great question! At launch or for the first 1-2 weeks, I would set your price low, to around what your break even price point is. Example product landed cost is $10, and FBA fees are $10, then break even price is $20. Start out around $21.99-$23.99 and slowly raise it up to $29.99-$39.99 over a couple weeks. All depends on performance, ranking, and reviews.

Thanks for your question. You could start with doing both under just 1 LLC. Or set up 2 separate ones, 1 for Online Sales and E-commerce sales and income, and one for UA-cam. But to start out with, you just need 1 LLC set up and can run both businesses under it. After you start making $100K or more per year>> switch LLC. Over to S Corp status with IRS (get new tax number), so you save money on taxes. Will have to start paying yourself a little different at that point too, such as taking pay check + distributions. LLC you don’t do it that way.

If you’re trying to sell another brands products, you’ll have to get approval first from Amazon by submitting branded invoices.

Great question! Not a tool to check their Store only, but definitely to see sellers who only sell that product. I would go/ use Helium 10 Black Box tool, and go under the “Competitors” and “Niche” tabs to find competitors/ brands selling that product. There are some advanced filters under each section to narrow down your results as well.

To get product video done, I recommend hiring a professional photographer/ videographer off Fiverr who you will send your product to and they will make all professional video for you for around $100-$400 per video. You can also partner with an Influencer to get social media content and video. But professional video best for your last image listing video. 2.) Logo/ brand name on product - You will need to find a different supplier or ask the supplier to provide you at least 1 custom sample with your logo printed on it. Pay $100-$200 per custom sample to check quality and get 1 product with logo to your house. Or, negotiate the supplier down to 500 units with logo printing.

For the separate Auto campaigns, 1 with all 4 targeting groups on, and then 1 for just each targeting group: the main goal of setting up the campaigns like this is to collect as much data as possible, and to reduce wasted ad spend. It’s just an effective way to control your spending and targeting and to figure out where your product performs best and find all the good, profitable keywords and ASINS. You’ll also want to run the multiple broad and phrase campaigns to test & rank for all your main keywords. Amazon has stated you will Not compete against yourself on keywords as long as all the campaigns are set up & running under the same 1 seller account.

Hey, thanks for watching my videos and for the question. The next steps after your brand was approved (and GTIN exemption) is to create the new product listing. You’ll go to Catalog> Add products> “adding a product not sold on Amazon”> enter product name (Title), select correct Main and sub-categories> enter exact brand name that was approved, select no product ID> and then enter the rest of the required info on the next 2-4 tabs at top. Then save and finish and now your listing has been created. That means you have now got an ASIN number, and you can click down arrow next to Edit> “print item labels” > this is your FNSKU Amazon barcode that goes to your supplier or designer to go (1) FNSKU on each product box. Then while supplier in manufacturing products and waiting for the DDP shipping to Amazon, you will finalize all the listing details, including uploading the 7-9 professional images, 5-7 bullet points, product description, back end keyword, special feature, etc.

Great question! If you have already got Brand approval for your brand by submitting photos of product with logo, you will not have to redo this step. System should automatically let you create new listings using your approved brand name. Same for brand registry, if you’ve already applied for, and got brand registry approved your new product should also automatically qualify for all the brand registry benefits & features. Ok if 2nd product is in different category. However you may need to re-apply for GTIN Exemption if your 2nd product is in a new category.

Thanks for your support and for the question. You will still need to apply for brand approval by submitting photos of your product with logo on it. Then Amazon approves you to create new listings with your brand name. You will not need to apply for GTIN exemption if you already purchased GS1 barcodes. However you will need to check that Amazon allows you to only use/ apply GS1 barcode on product packaging. Sometimes Amazon makes you use the Amazon barcode (FNSKU). After adding new listing, switch it over to FBA fulfillment, or during first step of entering FBA shipment make sure you select/ or set: Barcode type: “Manufacturer barcode” - this means you can just use GS1 UPC on product. But sometimes, for some products you have to use FNSKU.

LLC is always a good option for new Businesses. Once you are doing over $100,000/ per year in your business, that’s when I would switch it over to tax status S Corp. You’ll have to set up and pay yourself a little differently (salary + distributions), however you’ll save quite a bit on income taxes. But ok to start with registering normal LLC. For now; and switch tax status over to S Corp later on.

Thanks for the question! Shipping cost per unit will come from the amount it costs to ship the products from the manufacturer in China to the Amazon warehouse in USA. You can enter or calculate shipping costs either per unit: by taking total DDP shipping quote and divide by number of products ordering, or, can enter $1.3/ per kilo which is the average DDP shipping cost right now for Fast Sea shipping DDP (China to USA including all customs, duties and fees).

@@BusyBeeInspector You got it! FBA fee covers shipping to the customer by Amazon every time you sell 1 unit/ product. FBA fee is (2) parts: 1.) Pick and pack fulfillment fee: based on size and weight of product box. 2.) Referral fee - 15% of final price customer pays for your product. You pay Amazon the FBA fee and they are responsible for packaging, label, and shipping product to customer. And they will handle returns for you too.
